About this seed
Why gardeners choose this variety
Mixed Color Satin Flower, also referred to as godetia, is a charming cool-season annual cherished for silky cup-shaped blossoms in a harmonious blend of soft hues. This seed mix yields ruffled blooms in pure white, blush pink, coral, lavender and deep rose. Smooth satiny petals unfurl atop upright branching stems, creating a romantic cottage-garden aesthetic that shines throughout mild spring and early summer. Slender green foliage forms neat upright clumps, acting as a subtle backdrop to highlight the varied gentle flower tones. This flower thrives in moderate temperatures; heavy sustained summer heat will slow bloom production, making it a wonderful option to bring delicate color before hot weather arrives.
This multi-toned satin flower blend brings versatile beauty to all cool-season garden layouts. It excels in informal border plantings, mass bedding, patio containers and small fresh cut bouquets. The diverse pastel shades coordinate beautifully with pansies, snapdragons and other spring bloomers to craft balanced mixed displays. Open blooms offer accessible nectar that attracts native bees and small butterflies. Regular deadheading of faded flowers extends the bloom cycle, delivering weeks of soft, elegant color with simple maintenance suitable for both novice and seasoned gardeners.
