Description
Globe thistle (Echinops ritro) is a striking perennial featuring spherical, steel-blue flower heads on tall, sturdy stems. Plants have deeply lobed, spiny, dark green leaves with white undersides. Reaches 2–4 feet tall. Blooms from midsummer to fall.

Planting Season: Sow in spring after last frost, or in fall for natural stratification. Cold stratify 4–6 weeks before spring sowing.
