Blue sweet scabious (Scabiosa atropurpurea) is an annual or short-lived perennial featuring pincushion-like flowers in shades of blue to lavender. Flowers have a prominent central dome surrounded by ruffled petals. Plants have lance-shaped leaves on upright stems. Reaches 1–2 feet tall. Blooms from summer to fall.
