About this seed
Why gardeners choose this variety
Polished green leaflets line the upright, arching leaves of the ZZ plant, giving it an orderly, sculptural appearance. Its thick underground rhizomes store water, contributing to the durable character that has made established plants popular indoors.
Origins and character
Native to tropical Africa, Zamioculcas zamiifolia has become widely known as the ZZ plant. Its botanical name refers to leaves resembling those of Zamia, an unrelated plant group, a small detail behind its distinctive appearance.
In your home or garden
It suits a simple container on a console, a bright office shelf or a plant stand in a living room. Give a young plant indirect light and a well-drained growing medium. Against a plain wall, the repeated leaflets and clean outline become the main feature.
Seed pack options
Choose from 5 seeds, 20 seeds, 50 seeds. The selected option determines the quantity supplied. Seeds only; pots and live plants are not included.
