Sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia) is a perennial legume grown for forage, cover cropping, and soil improvement. Features tall spikes of pink, pea-like flowers. Deep taproot and pinnate leaves. Drought tolerant and nitrogen-fixing. Reaches 1–3 feet tall. Attracts bees and beneficial insects.
