Description

Prairie coneflower (Ratibida columnifera), also known as Mexican hat, is a native perennial wildflower found throughout North American prairies. The plant features tall, cylindrical central cones surrounded by drooping, yellow or red-yellow petals. Finely divided, feathery foliage adds textural interest. Plants reach 1–3 feet tall and bloom from early summer to early fall.
