About this seed

Why gardeners choose this variety

Known as cilantro when gathered for leaves and coriander when harvested for spice, this herb connects many cooking traditions through one plant. Large Leaf Cilantro places the emphasis on a generous leafy harvest for fresh use.

The aromatic foliage suits cool-season beds and pots near the kitchen. Chop leaves and tender stems into salsas, noodle dishes or herb dressings, or add them just before serving a hot meal. As the plant matures it develops fine flower stems and coriander seed. Small successive sowings help keep younger foliage available through the suitable growing season.

These cilantro seeds arrived safely with good packaging. I soaked the seeds before sowing and most germinated nicely. The plants grew well, and I’ve harvested plenty of fresh cilantro for cooking. The leaves have a nice strong flavor.
The only small issue is that a few plants bolted and went to seed earlier than expected in hot weather. Overall great seeds, I would order again.
