About this seed

Why gardeners choose this variety

Flowering plants have long been given to mark special occasions, and Happy Birthday Clematis makes that idea a growing project. Clematis itself belongs to the classic garden practice of clothing trellises and obelisks with foliage and flowers.

Raise seedlings for a supported border planting or a substantial container near a seating area. Their developing stems create a light vertical layer that can be combined with simpler, lower plants. Growing from seed brings individual variation: the named parent's flower colour, size and form may not be repeated, and the first blooms require patience.
