Product features
• Exceptionally long flowering period, often from late spring through early fall
• Heat and drought tolerant, thriving in sunny, dry conditions
• Low maintenance, requiring minimal fertilizer or special care
• Attracts butterflies, bees, and other pollinators
• Suitable for wildflower meadows, borders, containers, and mass plantings
• Self-seeds moderately for naturalized areas
• Deer resistant
Sowing: Direct sow after last frost, or start indoors 4–6 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds ⅛–¼ inch deep. Space plants 12 inches apart. Full sun required (at least 6 hours).
Soil & Temperature: Prefers well-draining, sandy or loamy soil (pH 5.5–7.0). Tolerates poor or rocky soil. Germination temperature 65–70°F (18–21°C).
Germination Time: 15–25 days.
Watering: Keep soil moderately moist during germination and establishment. Once mature, water only during extended dry periods. Coreopsis prefers drier conditions and may rot in wet soil.
Additional Tips: Deadheading (removing spent flowers) encourages continued blooming. Divide perennial varieties every 2–3 years in spring or fall to maintain vigor.
