Acmella oleracea, also known as toothache plant, is a unique annual or short-lived perennial herb with small, yellow, button-like flowers that have a distinctive red center. The flowers produce a tingling, numbing sensation when chewed. Plants have dark green, toothed leaves. Reaches 12–24 inches tall. Blooms from summer to fall.
